Parenting Column In Tantrum Magazine

Friday 15th July 2016

I have landed my own column in ace parenting magazine Tantrum.xyz. They are a fab publication packed full of helpful advice for babies, fun places to take kids and great baby fashion choices (tights for boys? yes please). Here is their sort of manifesto.

So far I have written for them about coping with a baby and hangover (you're welcome) poo shaming issues with potty training, the trouble with working from home with a baby, and the joys of baby swimming.

UPDATE: new column 20th August. I wrote a short one-act play about every family outing with a baby

All the rest of my articles are collected here in the writing section.

Comedy Documentary - Finding The Funny

Tuesday 29th March 2016

I have started directing my first documentary film 'Finding The Funny' which aims to explore if comedy is a true meritocracy where the cream floats to the top. Or if the odds are stacked with hidden agendas and postive or negative discrimination.

It's being produced by the brilliant Nidhi Gupta of Busy Doctor Films and there is more info about it here as well.

The Muse

Monday 28th March 2016

I did an interview for The Muse website here. They are a really interesting resource for and about women:

"The Muse is a space in which we hope to showcase different women’s experiences, from the work that they do, to the things they create, businesses they launch, charities that they support or amazing challenges that they’ve faced. We want to shine a light on all the incredible, inspiring things that women are doing and have one lovely place to visit that will be inspiring and insightful as well as offer a great read.  Unlike other blogs, this one will feature stories from many different contributors and perspectives."

Book 4 Is Now A Thing!

Monday 27th July 2015

The latest book from the adventures of Jessica and her friends is nearly here! 'My Great Success And Other Failures' comes out THIS AUGUST!

You can pre-order it now from Amazon, Foyles and Waterstones. And probably all kinds of other good book shops.

Here is a bit about what it's about...

"Jess’s cartoons are actually beginning to take off. A local comic store wants to use them in a campaign and she is in danger of becoming really rather famous (at school). This leads to some tensions with her friends. Why can’t people be happy for her? It’s not as if success is going to her head, or anything. Or actually that it’s anything like success at all…"
